🗓️ Good Citizen Dog Scheme Gold Class – Rolling Format (Spring 2025) This term, we're offering a rolling class format for our Gold group to allow more flexibility for those with busy or varied schedules. Here’s how it works: Classes run on Monday evenings at 7:00 pm You’ll be offered 8 sessions between April and June You can attend any 6 sessions from the dates below The cost is £100 for 6 sessions, paid upfront to confirm your place You can add up to 2 extra sessions at £16 each if space allows ✅ Available Dates: 14th April 2025 21st April 2025 28th April 2025 5th May 2025 12th May 2025 19th May 2025 2nd June 2025 9th June 2025 This flexible approach allows you to train consistently at a pace that suits you, while still building the skills and structure needed to succeed at Gold level. Course Content: ✔ Road Walking – Advancing control and responsiveness in public spaces. ✔ Off-Lead Heelwork & Recall to Heel – Teaching your dog to return and walk beside you off-lead. ✔ Two-Minute Down/Stay – Strengthening impulse control and reliability. ✔ Send to Bed – Teaching your dog to settle on cue, both at home and in different environments. ✔ Stop the Dog (Emergency Stop) – Teaching your dog to immediately stop at a distance for safety in unexpected situations. ✔ Relaxed Settle – Encouraging your dog to remain calm and composed in any setting. ✔ Food Manners – Ensuring polite behaviour around food, preventing begging or snatching. ✔ Handling & Examination – Preparing your dog for vet or grooming visits through calm, cooperative handling. What to Bring: Flat Collar or Harness (No slip leads or head collars) Non-Retractable, No Slip Leads Selection of Treats (Moist treats like sausage or cheese work best) Toy (For engagement and reward) Dog Bowl & Water Poo Bags Mat/Bed (For the settle exercises) Perfect Fit Harnesses, Training Leads, Toys, and Treats are available for purchase at the training venue. Class Guidelines: ✅ Water & Bowl – Please bring your own. ✅ Registered Dogs Only – No unregistered dogs at the venue. ✅ Dogs on Lead – Keep dogs on lead at all times within the training area. ✅ Designated Walking Area – Only walk dogs in the designated area. ✅ Clean Up After Your Dog – Use the provided bins or take waste with you. ✅ Behavioural Concerns – If your dog struggles with reactivity (barking/lunging at people or dogs), please contact us to arrange 1-2-1 training before enrolling in the class.
